Lettuce Lake Park

This park has some water, and boardwalks, but it is more of a park than anything else. It has great little pathways with oak trees, some open areas with room for families to run and in general rustic outdoor scenery.

Sunken Gardens

St. Pete’s oldest living museum is a botanical paradise in the midst of the bustling city. The 100-year-old Sunken Gardens is home to some of the oldest tropical plants in the region. Meandering paths guide visitors through a living collection of more than thousands of plant species, tropical plants and flowers with lush demonstration gardens, cascading waterfalls, and a flock of flamingos.

Philippe Park

Philippe Park is 122 acres rich in history. This is the oldest park in Pinellas County and is in Safety Harbor. The majestic shade trees and the Native American mound welcome visitors to the park.  The Temple Mound was built by Native Americans known as the Tocobaga. It is the largest remaining mound in the Tampa Bay region and is listed in the National Register of Historic Landmarks.

USF Botanical Gardens

The Botanical Gardens consists of 16 acres of gardens and greenbelt on the Tampa campus of USF and maintains a living collection of more than 3,000 plants, animals and natural habitats.

Al Lopez Park

Al Lopez Park has a 1.2 mile interior loop asphalt multi-purpose trail. The trail is 15 feet wide with overhead lighting. On the northeastern edge of the loop, a nature trail continues through wooded areas.
